A bit bored with the usual suspects, Zin, Cab, Pinot, Syrah, Merlot and the like? Think of ‘La Dolce Vita’ and come join the fifth event to savor the Italian Flair, at the fifth AWSSB event! When/Where: May 30th, ’12 From 6-8:30pm | Ambassador Art Gallery, 1A West Canon Perdido St., SB Participants will be able to sample up to six variety of grapes, from areas in California where Italian grapes show their best. The selection includes, Bianco: Pinot Grigio, and Rosso: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Primitivo, Dolcetto and Sangiovese. Only 30 tickets are available. The price, which includes wine tasting and light hors d’oeuvres, is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Just look at the names of some of the major wine-making families over the past century, names like Mondavi, Martini, Sebastiani and Seghesio and you can really see the connection. There is no doubt that the California wine industry would not be where it is today without the contribution of Italian-Americans.
